Okay I am very much opposed to more governmental interference on our lives and businesses. However, I am willing to make an exception for this… Wal-Mart should not be allowed to play Christmas music, at least not the store I have to go to. Besides the stampedes and all of the good cheer crammed into those four brick walls, the music sounds tinny and awful. I felt like I was in a Christmas movie where the main character has a psychotic break and everything starts swaying and “God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen” plays at just the wrong speed and with a hint of distortion.
Now my legislation only applies to Wal-Mart. If you agree please sign my petition below (post a comment), also add anywhere else it need to be enforced. Outright bans are unacceptable, because I love Christmas music.

It’s 1/3/09 and seriously? No yammering about the wee morning hours of Christmas morning with eager tiny children? No exciting blue cheese laden recipes? No New Year’s Eve spiked with Mtn. Dew chit chat to share? What gives? I have to go back to work soon and won’t have time to check and see what you’re not writing… so get going.
I have to agree with Jody. That’s the best you got. Your losing it old man. I remember better rants and raves than this. You should have made it a complete ban on all Christmas music. You had a taste of the Christmas hell house you should know what that music does to music. So git with the program you orgit and be the bellyacher I remember.
