This post is actually about technology. Recently I got a laptop that has a built in camera. Even more recently, my father-in-law called wanting to try Skype’s free video chat feature. It was really cool we, me and the kids, gathered around the computer and were able to have a conversation almost like we were in the same room. We hope to make it a regular occurrence as it was a great way to keep in contact with folks that we live far away from and miss the associations. Ain’t technology grand!

There are other ways of video chat, but all require a high speed internet connection and a webcam. Skype, Google and Yahoo also have chat programs that work great.
